It’s a Social Blend / Geeks of Doom special this week! The 98th edition of Social Blend joins forces with Tom Cheredar aka TChed as our special guest, we dive into a whole bunch of recent news posted over at GeeksOfDoom.com. But starting out the show, we take a moment to have a look at the tragic earthquake in Haiti, and the massive impact the event has had on the country, and indeed, the world.

Following this, we break into Tched’s analysis of the recent news that Spider-man 4 has been scrapped and that Sony are moving forward with a reboot of the Spidey franchise. We take a look at his article at Geeks of Doom: 6 Guidelines the next Spider-man film needs to follow; and discuss the impact of Sony’s decision as well as what each of us would love to see in a new Spider-man movie. In particular, we believe STEPHEN COLBERT needs a cameo in the next film, and challenge him to join us on Social Blend to crusade together into making this a reality!

Closing out, we take a look at some of the big news recently posted at GoD, including the recent drama surrounding Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien at NBC, the release of The A-Team and Kick-Ass trailers, and the announcement of Christopher Lee’s Symphonic Metal album.
