Social Blend

Social Blend goes into metal mode this week, as we’re joined by Mark Carras, who gives us the rundown on the new contest at HeavyAsHell.com where YOU can win great music and cash prizes right now – just for participating in the site! You can also check out the details of the current contest at this link.

Jeremy Rosen from Roadrunner Records also provides us with the world premiere of the new song from Trivium called Shattering The Skies Above. This new tune can be found on the new GOD OF WAR EP, which goes up for sale on March 2nd at all digital retailers, and also features Killswitch Engage, Opeth, Dream Theater, Taking Dawn, and Mutiny. You can catch more details at RoadrunnerRecords.com.

Outside of the metal, this week we also catch up on the latest developments in the case of the West Memphis Three, which receive some major media coverage this week with the airing of 48 Hours Mystery on CBS. We also talk about the recent earthquakes near Okinawa and in Chile and Haiti, and ponder whether the end of the world is coming or not!!!

Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from cGt2099.com) and Jay Fowler (SilentJay74 from JuicySnake.com) the Social Blend is a fun, and hard-hitting, podcast, with no respect for rules. We try to make the main focus of the show to be Mixx.com, and other social media sites; but we usually just end up talking about whatever comes to mind!

Awesome, Ill have to make sure Im listening. Im not a Trivium fan but I am an old school metalhead and grew up listening to all the old Roadrunner bands. I sing for a metal band here in Upstate NY, maybe we’ll write a cool Social Blade song for you guys just for fun. – Shawn
