The Daleks have returned in the third episode of Doctor Who Series Five, titled Victory of the Daleks, and we take a look at the restoration of the Doctor’s most sinister enemies on this edition of the TARDISblend. The show finds the Doctor responding to a call for assistance from Winston Churchill during the Blitz of World War II, arriving in London 1941 only to discover that not only is he a month late, but that the Daleks are masquerading as "Ironsides" – on a secret mission that will enable them to create a new upgraded generation of Daleks that will become more deadlier and dangerous than ever.

During TARDISblend 4, we examine the cold and clinical ferocity of the new Daleks and how much more menacing they have become. We also discuss the wonderful performance of Ian McNeice as Winston Churchill, and how fabulous it was to finally see Churchill together with the Doctor on screen. Meanwhile, companion Amy Pond becomes an even bigger mystery, as we speculate on what part she has to play in the series as a whole; her connection to the Cracks In The Universe and the Doctor’s TARDIS; and why she was unable to remember who the Daleks were, considering they had invaded Earth during her lifetime!
