Social Blend returns to celebrate Greg’s birthday, and for this edition we’re joined by two wonderful ladies, Bridget Ayers from Get Smart Web, and Erika Napoletano from Redhead Writing – it’s the HOTTIE edition of Social Blend!
Of course, the biggest news of all time this week is that Michael Bolton is finally cool again, for this is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow. We review the recent news of the Star Wars Blu-Rays in the lead up to Universal Day of the Jedi next week. But we might not even get to that, because May 21 is apparently the Rapture or the end of the world, so we might all be screwed.
We also talk about the “Invisible Filter” on the web, from different perspectives, following an interesting TED talk by Eli Pariser. Meanwhile, a 7th grader is interrogated by the Secret Service over a Facebook post, and Texas begins its fight against the TSA. Jon Stewart also pwns Bill O’Reilly – and Jay shares an unreal McDonald’s picture with us, which takes over the entire show.
Additionally, we close out with Pomplamoose‘s version of the Angry Birds theme – make sure you click here and check out their music! Oh and we briefly discuss the new season of Doctor Who.
