Social BlendWe’re back for another regular edition of Social Blend, with out 175th episode! Joining us for the show are Terr Ciavarra aka Media Nox, and Keith Wagner aka Dark Nemesis618 from MixxingBowl.com. We kick off the show following up with our coverage of Occupy Wall Street, as the protests begin to spread globally, with a variety of different reactions, dividing opinions worldwide. Meanwhile, Bank of America makes some scumbag moves, which continue to consolidate the protestors resolve.

Onto tech news and we take a look at Netflix flip-flopping on their Quikster announcement, conceding to the demands of their userbase and leaving rentals and streaming together under the Netflix site and brand. We also rave on about how interesting Siri is on the new iPhone 4S, while also having a guilty giggle at the Sesame Street YouTube channel being hacked this week.

In the world of movies, we review the first official trailer to The Avengers, and discuss an interesting film called Rome Sweet Rome which originated from comments at Reddit! We also briefly talk about Zachary Quinto‘s news this week. Later we look at the US troop movement announcements this week: into Uganda and out of Iraq?

Finally we speak of the horrific news released this week of the mentally disabled individuals kept imprisoned in a dungeon, while their “owners” cashed in on their disability checks. The news continues to roll out on this particular subject, and just seems to be getting worse by the day. Finally, for our WTF story of the week, we turn to a story about real life superhero Phoenix Jones…
