Andy Sorcini aka Mr. Baby Man from The Drill Down and Greg Davies aka cGt2099 from Social Blend join forces for The Round Up – a short mini podcast focusing on some entertainment news, with a preview of what’s coming up in Social Blend and The Drill Down.

During the 84th episode of The Round Up, Andy discusses the Double Rainbow meme that spawned numerous songs including autotune remixes by The Gregory Brothers and Gigamesh. Greg then takes a look at the preview for The Social Network, the 2010 movie based on the history of how Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook, starring Jesse Eisenberg and directed by David Fincher.

It’s episode 82 of The Round Up, and Andy kicks off the show with another wonderful tune put together by Pogo, this time using effects from the Toy Story movies, entitled Toyz Noize. Later, Greg reviews the trailer for the new Narnia flick, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which spills into a discussion of the merits (or lack thereof) of 3D in modern cinema.

The Round Up celebrates Universal Day of the Jedi

Episode 80 of The Round Up finds Andy and Greg remembering 1980 as they celebrate Universal Day of the Jedi (which is on May 25) and mark the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. We have a flashback and take a look at the original theatrical trailer for Episode V, and take a look at an older, but relevant, April Fool’s Joke played by the LucasOnline team back in 2001. We also take a listen to a mashup by PartyBen called Galvanize The Empire, which merges John Williams’ Imperial March and The Chemical Brothers’ Galvanize; and discuss all things Star Wars and George Lucas before jumping into our previews of Social Blend and The Drill Down.

The Round Up remembers Ronnie James Dio

Episode 79 of The Round Up finds Greg and Andy paying tribute to the metal god, RONNIE JAMES DIO. Dio sadly passed away on May 16 after battling cancer, and Greg and Andy remember the man and his contribution to Heavy Metal through the years. Greg plays Dio’s iconic song, Holy Diver, and Andy remembers the man with his unforgettable appearance in Tenacious D: The Pick Of Destiny. Rest in Peace, Ronnie James Dio. You will never be forgotten!
