Ben Thompson, author of the novel Badass and webmaster of BadAssOfTheWeek.com, joins cGt2099 and SilentJay74, as they begin a podcast initially known as Social Blend 102… but takes a wrong turn as the trio arm up to face the hoards of the Warriors of Darkness. Through mud and blood, they join forces with Tom Cheredar aka TChed, and fight their way through the throes of war, slicing and beating the foes that swarm them. No injury is felt, no enemy left alive, and no explosion occurs without the three of us walking away from like a cliche action movie scene (so cheesily bad, but you love it anyway). Yes, minions, this edition of Social Blend has become BADASS SOCIAL BLEND.

Actually it’s the same show as always.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I always wanted to write a badass introduction for this podcast. And about bloody time too, don’t you think?

Ahem.

ANYWAY, what happens in this show? Well, Ben gives us the rundown of the background story behind his novel and his website, as we discuss the scientific study of that which is Badass. Following this, TChed joins us for Part Two of the show, where we look at the latest badass: Epic Beard Man… from being caught on video to becoming an internet hero. Meanwhile, Joe Stack is also being hailed by a hero as some – he is the man who crashed his plane into the Austin IRS Building: we examine the mystery behind this man… is he a hero or a terrorist?
